Famiiro Network (“fami” is from family and “iro” means colors in Japanese) is a group of people based in Japan who are seeking to build families through sperm donation, egg donation and/or surrogacy, and those who wish to stand together with them.
Our members include parents, parents-to-be, and academics who are committed to contributing to the creation of a society where family diversity is respected and celebrated.
Specifically, we engage in the following three activities:
- Providing a space for families with diverse backgrounds;
- Creating knowledge, based on the lived experiences of those who chose donor conception and/or surrogacy; and
- Disseminating information for practitioners, policymakers, and society at large.
We act for a society where all children and families are valued as they are.
